We are finishing up the final factory acceptance test, and assembly of our energy collectors at the factory of our manufacturer, Thune Eureka.
As you can see in the pictures, the team of Wavepiston and Thune Eureka are working round the clock in the factory in Galicia, northwest Spain, to prepare the units that soon will be deployed at sea at our first full-scale demonstration site in Plataforma Oceánica de Canarias (PLOCAN), Gran Canaria. We have already assembled the beam, wagon, and pumps, and started assembling the paddles that will push/pull the pumps along with the waves.
After many years of design, testing and plenty of iterations, we are excited to see our energy collector at full scale. After acceptance of the manufacturing and assembly, the energy collectors will be shipped in pre-assembled parts to Gran Canaria, where the final assembly and installation are planned for Q2-2023.
